I've been messing around all night trying to get some ideas down for my project - ideas for layouts, patterns etc. This is a rough idea for a poster relating to the graphics pathway. It's all a bit 'Chad Hagen' and sterile at the moment, I'm hoping to develop it. It needs to relate a lot more to the pathway. The second example is an experiment with grayscale and background color - with a little help from meow. I might try printing it on coloured paper in black and white and see what happens.

I'd definitely go for the coloured paper stuff. Getting a more 'printed/texture' look into the shapes would liven it up a bit I reckon. Kind of printing block effect.
